Crafted for Versatility and Superior Performance

Originally developed in collaboration with Yamaha's Los Angeles custom shop, the Pacifica series was designed to meet the demands of top session players. Today’s Pacifica models continue this legacy, offering a wide range of pickup and hardware options that deliver unmatched tonal versatility, effortless playability, and meticulous craftsmanship.

Yamaha PAC600 Series: The Evolution of a Classic

First introduced in 1990, the Pacifica series was inspired by the California session scene, where versatility, performance, and individuality were essential. Drawing from the original custom shop designs, the PAC600 series embodies the Pacifica concept for today’s guitarists, delivering modern features with a nod to its heritage.

Seymour Duncan Pickups for Ultimate Tonal Flexibility

All current Pacifica 600 models are equipped with a Seymour Duncan TB-14 "Custom 5" humbucker in the bridge position, providing a full, rich tone with a scooped midrange. The coil tap function adds even more versatility. PAC611 models pair the TB-14 with an SP90-1 for vintage soapbar tones, while PAC612 models feature SSL-1 single-coils in the middle and neck positions, offering the authentic chime of 1950s guitars.

Grover Locking Tuners for Enhanced Stability

Grover locking tuners provide superior pitch stability by minimizing string slippage, especially beneficial for guitars with vibrato bridges. These tuners also make string changes quick and easy.

Graph Tech TUSQ Nut and String Trees for Superior Tone and Stability

The TUSQ XL nut is precision-engineered to enhance string vibration transfer to the neck, enriching the guitar’s tone and harmonics. The Teflon-impregnated material prevents string binding, ensuring stable tuning even during aggressive bends.

Graph Tech String Saver Saddles on Hardtail Models

On Pacifica 611H/HFM models, self-lubricating Graph Tech String Saver saddles are paired with Yamaha's original steel bridgeplate. These saddles reduce string breakage while providing balanced tone and increased sustain.

Wilkinson VS50 6 Vibrato Bridges for Precision and Feel

The Wilkinson VS50 6 vibrato bridge features precision-machined zinc saddles, hardened steel components, and a knife-edge baseplate, delivering a responsive feel and stable tuning for expressive playing.
